Southeast Middle School Transformation

In early 2019, we accepted a game-changing opportunity from Oklahoma City Public Schools to play a crucial role in the district’s Pathway to Greatness plan. Under this bold measure, the district’s vision to convert seven elementary schools into new middle schools was set into motion.

Our mission was to build an infrastructure of fully-irrigated grass athletic fields at each new campus that would support school athletics, campus activities, and community play.

With excitement and determination, we rose up to meet the challenge head-on. Along the way, we were joined by fellow community leaders and organizations that found additional opportunities to strengthen the infrastructure with added amenities and facility upgrades.

Today, we are putting the finishing touches on the final Pathway to Greatness campus—Southeast Middle School.

As the momentum carries over to the improvement project at neighboring Southern Oaks Park, it’s impossible not to look back at Southeast Middle School’s transformation and imagine how many lives will be changed right here on these fields.

Hope in Action at the 2024 Kansas Relays

Thanks to the Simon Greiner Program, eight talented student-athletes and four coaches from John Marshall's 2023 5A state champion sprint relay teams were given a life-changing opportunity to compete on a national stage at one of the oldest and most prestigious track meets in the country, the 2024 Kansas Relays. The trip was more than just a reward for their accomplishments; it was a vivid demonstration of "Hope in Action."

Beyond 500: Coach Patrick Cudjoe Teaches Winning On and Off the Court

John Marshall boys basketball coach Patrick Cudjoe recently eclipsed 500 career wins, a milestone only a dozen other active coaches have reached. With deep roots in Oklahoma City Public Schools as a student, athlete, educator, coach, and parent, his impact on the OKCPS community continues to extend far beyond the court.
