We recognized a long time ago that team sports can have a profound effect on kids’ lives, on and off the field.
We also recognized that it takes strong partnerships and a lot of teamwork to make a lasting, widespread impact. Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to join forces with some amazing organizations, companies, and community leaders who share our passion for bringing hope and opportunity to the underserved kids and communities in Oklahoma City Public Schools.
KiZE Concepts, an Oklahoma City-based company that makes nutritious energy bars, is one of those partnerships making a huge difference in the lives of OKCPS student-athletes.
Guided by its mission to change lives for the better, KiZE has committed to donating 10,000 KiZE Bars (a $30,000 value) to OKCPS Athletics over the course of the 2022-2023 school year.
“Many barriers prevent people from having access to healthy, nutritious local food,” said Jeff Ragan, Founder and CEO of KiZE Concepts. “Our hope is that this donation helps eliminate that barrier for OKCPS student-athletes, fuels them to perform better on the field and in the classroom, and shows them their community loves them and wants them to flourish.”
OKCPS Athletics will distribute the bars to OKCPS student-athletes during sporting events throughout the year. With some help from the Simon Greiner Track & Field Programs, OKCPS Athletic Director Eddie Wright recently picked up 4,000 KiZE Bars for the Fall sports season.
KiZE Bars are made with premium, truly healthy ingredients, deliciously combined for maximum nutrition & sustainable energy. This donation ensures OKCPS student-athletes will be fed and fueled by healthy, nutritional food while they’re competing.
