Yet behind this excitement lies a troubling trend: sports participation among female students drops by 8% as they transition to high school, while boys' participation jumps to 35%. Swinging Into Spring Sports

Spring sports are in full swing in Oklahoma City Public Schools, and it's the busiest sports season of the year. 4,176 OKCPS students played sports last spring, and that number is certain to be even higher this year. This spring, Fields & Futures programs will support coaches and athletes participating in track & field, golf, soccer, and cheer through OKCPS, the YMCA, and OKC PAL.
