Last year, we teamed up with Oklahoma City University XC/TF with the idea of creating a unique running event that brings together runners of all ages, skills, and experience levels. This idea became the OCU Stars Mile Night and Simon Greiner Elite Mile. With more runners, faster times, and the first-ever Simon Greiner Program Scholarships, OCU Stars Mile Night shined even brighter in year two.
Unlike student-athletes from suburban communities, most OKCPS students aren't able to spend their summer months attending sports camps and clinics. Until now. A slate of newly-created OKCPS summer sports camps gives OKCPS students a summer of access and opportunity they don't typically receive.

OKCPS Athletics wants to put more kids on more teams with its new Summer Learning sports program. Backed by Fields & Futures and Heisman-winner Sam Bradford, Summer Learning will give OKCPS student-athletes access to summer sports leagues and scrimmages as well as skill camps and clinics with collegiate instruction.
Just three years ago, the Northwest Classen Baseball Team struggled to put a full lineup on the field. This year, 20 NWC Knights helped raise the All-City Athletic Conference championship banner on their way to an 18-1-1 ACAC record. We recently visited with Coach Todd and the team to discuss the program’s turnaround and the role that sports play in their lives.

On March 7th, the Simon Greiner Track & Field Program packed 300 students from 10 OKCPS middle schools into Star Spencer's Twidwell Stadium for the 2023 OKCPS Middle School Track Clinic. Coaches and athletes from OCU, Douglass, Classen SAS, U.S. Grant, OCS, and Be Bold Running helped run the clinic and set a great example for these young athletes to look up to.
On February 17th, OKCPS brought World Cup energy to Speegle Stadium and Taft Stadium for the ACAC High School Boys and Girls Soccer Championship. At the end of a long, cold, hard-fought day, the Knights of NW Classen laid claim to both the boys' and girls' championship banners.
